Appalachian Trail Hike
February 26th - August 1st, 2021
Hike
I'm attempting to hike as much of the Appalachian Trail as possible, starting February 26th, 2021. It's 2193.1 miles, stretching from Georgia to Maine. I will start in at Amicalola Falls and walk north- bound (NOBO) as a "thru hiker". It's a 4-6 month challenge; only 1 in 4 of those who start an AT Thru Hike complete it. Hopefully, I'll be one of them.
Fundraiser
To help out and stay motivated, I'll be hiking for 2 causes dear to me-- Girl Scouts' Camp Lou Henry Hoover and City Harvest. If you would like to support, please pledge to donate per mile I complete. Follow the link to the Pledge Form below. Thank you so much! Your involvement means a lot :)
May Update
I have reached Pennsylvania and am over 1/2 way through my hike! Since starting, I have been fully vaccinated. The Appalachian Trail Conservatory has also officially "reopened" the trail by honoring people who complete it and by changing their hiking guidance.
August 1st Update
I've completed the trail! 5 months and 5 days from starting, I summited Mount Katahdin in Maine, achieving a life dream. Thank you for those who supported my charity fundraiser--- you raised around $1000 for each charity and thank you for your encouragement along the way.
